Bob question? In need of haircut help urgently!

So I've been looking into some sort of bob cut, my last hairdressing experience was the worst of them yet so I now have a fear of haircuts but I'd really like a trim and some sort of style cut because the lady that previously cut it literally hacked 15/20cm off my hair when I asked for a trim and it wasn't even necessary so now I have gross choppy as layers everywhere that're hard to straighten (they just flick everywhere and I've tried straightening it multiple ways) I just really would like to wear my hair down more often. Will I be able to get a decent style cut with what it's grown out like? This is how my hair looks when It air dries, not the best picture but it's so you get what sortof texture my hair is. Thanks girls! Any suggestions would really help, I'm trying to love my hair so it loves me back but haircuts make me nervous haha.

Thank you breeze! My hair is just really choppy, it's getting pretty long at the back it's just I'm worried it won't look right because of how the lady that cut it, cut it haha. I just hope they can fix it, right now it's a crazy mess of layers hahah.

It's already short I guess so I'd rather just have them do it, I'm searching for a good hairdresser right now haha :)
