STEP AWAY FROM THE DARK COLOURS!
Use bright colours to open up your eyes and make your lids not look so dark and hooded.
Also don't use shimmer around the crease, it'll attract attention to it xx

Psh you can west dark colors. Blake Lively is proof of that. Check out pixiwoo on YouTube. She had endless tutorials and she had hooded eyes.

I have kinda hooded eyes and I kinda prefer darker more than light. I do agree with the crease you don't really want to use shimmer more matte because shimmer can make the hood look more protruded which is what you don't want. You want it to recede. What your really want to do is bring your shadows higher and create a false crease. I'm not really good at explaining stuff but I hope this helped a bit. Here's so pics/pictorials.

I think, by the looks in the pictorials, always carry the colour past your eyelid. Blend upwards at the outer edges which will in turn make your eyes look like the point upwards. Find what looks good for you, don't think 'I wish I had...'  xx

Wanye Goss talks about them in his eye shape video, definitely worth watching.

None of the girls who's eye pictorials are pictured have hooded eyes, I'd suggest looking at YouTube :)
