Mane n tail is terrible. it'll make your hair brittle & the wax weighs your hair down. making you think it grew. it's also not ph balanced for human hair. just keep your hair healthy. because yourhair growth rate is genetic. I can give tips on keeping it healthy.

Get your hair trimmed and keep it healthy afterwards, that's all I can suggest. I've also heard more bad than good about mane n tail, it'll just end up drying your hair out.

Ok, I'm working on the same thing so I have a few tips for you!
1. Invest in moisturizing shampoos and conditioners. I especially like Suave Almond and Shea Butter right now
2. Get a deep conditioner, such as Aussie 3 Minute Miracle
3. Take Biotin and Fish Oil supplements.
4. Try to do a "No Heat Hair Week" once a month to give your hair a break, and if you can't do it once a month do it every other month.
5. If you have split ends, cut em'. I personally don't believe in getting your hair trimmed every month like they say too. That keeps it the same length. Just use a heat protectant when you heat your hair and heat and less as possible! Oh! And don't blow dry your hair if you can manage without it! It's insanely damaging!
Ok! Hoped these helped, sorry it was a really long list haha.

Don't wash your hair a lot. no heat damage. let it grow naturally. that's how my hair grew faster. now its up to my butt.

If you're goin to use mane n tail use a hydrating conditioner like an organic one with coconut.

I'm currently in cosmetology school and all you can do is get frequent trims to keep it cleaned up and massage your scalp every shampoo to get the blood glowing! Only wash your hair when necessary as well.

Have a healthy diet and use coconut oil or sesame oil for your hair once a week for half an hour would do. Also try and keep your hair away from any heat and trim and split ends. I went through these stages and my hair grew during that month.

Once again, don't use Mane n Tail. Sorry, but that's terrible advice. it DOESN't MAKE YOUR HAIR GROW. Just keep your hair healthy.
