32 mm, but you must don't do that very closely to get that wavy look. And take the small pieces :)

I would use a thick rod and I wouldn't curl it all the way to to the top of your hair. Use thin strands at a time and let them drop then spritz them with hairspray. Only use a small part of hairspray once the waves are done otherwise it will weigh them down and they will drop out! If you put lots of hairspray in before the waves are completed it will weigh them down into these waves.

When you are curling separate the hair far apart on the rod.

I think you should use 19mm n take at least 2 inch of your hair and curl it.. And finally when you are done with curling open or split all curls using your fingers and you will get that look..
