Try rag curls or pin curls. I do my daughter's hair in rag curls and take them out when she wakes up and they look great and soft and natural. You can Google or YouTube how to do either. I use pin curls myself sometimes and depending on how tight you do them they can look very natural.

I posted this once & it freakin disappeared so here goes again!! Its in the curling iron your using! You need a tapered curling "wand" or a three barrel curler. I found pics for you that Ill re-post. One shows the technique of how to use the tapered wand...

The three barrel iron. You just clamp your hair in it like a crimper & just keep moving down the hair strand your curling till you reach the bottom. Probably the easiest but the hair is more of a beachy wave. To actually get natural looking messy curls you'll need the wants! Hope this helped! Your super pretty btw<3.
