Any idea what kind of colour it'd come out over a faded red?

Its probably going to be very dark, I tried purple over faded red and it looked quite black for awhile. Maybe try a bleach wash first, then do the color.

I've heard of a certain vitamin that helps take out hair color. Because I don't think you want to bleach already dyed hair then dye that hair (at least thats what I'm getting out of this. Or is your hair naturally this color? It is it blonde?). I think its vitamin E.

My hair is naturally strawberry blonde/ginger, whatever people wana call that haha. This isn't my natural colour this is the dye I put in it about 2 weeks ago that's faded. I just want a sort of dark purple colour but one that's not going to be black as I'm trying to avoid layer upon layer of dyes since I've only recently gotten rid of blonde hair and would rather not bleach anymore. I hope that makes sense haha

I would have already done it if I had bleach, that's why I'm so skeptical cause I never put colours like this in without A light base colour but my hair was light brown/caramel before I put the red dye in the picture in.

It is hard to do purple without a light base because it reads so dark. Maybe try a little test strand, or look into non-chemical ways to strip your current color, reds are hard to eliminate, though. There's a lot of tutorials online about crushing vitamin c tablets and using them to remove color, its worked quite well for me in the past.

I've decided I'm just going to go for it, it won't bother me too much if it does come out dark cause it's only semi permanent and if I don't like it I'll fix it up next week haha :) wish me luck! Lol

Do a test strand first! purple over red isn't the best color combo...it may come out OK, or it may come out mucky. just test a little piece I. the back of your head to be sure.
