It's probably bringing out more dirt and bacteria than the older brush head was so it could be that. How long were you using the KVD foundation before switching out the brush heads?

Hm it can be hard to tell then. If you noticed the breakouts before putting foundation on it could be the brush but it's hard to say. I'm not sure how much of a purge a new brush head would give, I don't notice much of one when I change to a new one but I change mine every 3 months so while I do notice a difference in the texture of the brush I don't really notice a purge. I also have acne in general though lol.
I'd say maybe hold off on the foundation for a bit and just see if its the brush head and let your skin adjust to that before introducing another new thing. If its the brush I'm sure it will settle down since you've at least been using the Clarisonic for a while.

It might be too abrasive for your skin!
Same thing happened to Wayne Goss... he started using a different type of brush head and he figured it was purging, after going to the dermatologist turns out it messed up his skin. If you can use one that isn't as abrasive I say do it. Treating clarisonic mess ups are not the slightest bit cheap!

I bought one maybe a week ago and I'm so scared to use it lol.

@Dawn actually the clarisonic is considered an abrasive device! It uses nylon fibers regardless of the brush head type. Its a deep cleansing device so the odds of the foundation affecting it is not really that well - unless it contains irritants/ingredients you are allergic to. If you go through a whole skin cycle and nothing has changed, then definitely go for a more 'softer' brush head or at least try to use it on the lowest setting. ☺

Kitty is right, it is considered abrasive but since you just started with a new brush head, even of the same type as before, after so long that's what leads me to think that's the issue. The old one was probably pretty run down and wasn't pulling out as much as the new one is. As long as it's small acne spots and your skin isn't super dry and irritated I think you'll be fine and hopefully whatever little spots you do have will clear up soon :)
