I love nyx, but I think certain makeup brands are good for certain things. not one is really 'the best'

Makeup forever is the only brand I use for foundation on my clients. It has quality ingredients which are the best for video and photography.

What is your budget? What I like and would suggest might kill your wallet. Since you're new to makeup I highly suggest at least going high-end with your foundation and sticking to drugstore till you get accustomed to what shades work best for you as there is nothing worse than dropping a huge chunk of change on something that is a complete dud.

Everyone will have a different opinion for whatever reason I personally try to stick to more natural brands, noncomedogenic n nonacnegenic brands - and cruelty free brands those are what I gravitate towards because those are the companies I want to support personally - and I have sensitive acne prone skin so companies that make products that help my skin heal instead of hinder it - but that's just me.

It's all personal preference and how your skin takes to it. Some ELF products work for me, some Bare Minerals products work for me. It all depends. Definitely Urban Decay eyeshadow.

All the ladies make a good point I believe its personal preference while taking into consideration your own budget I like hard candy elf cover girl Revlon & Jordana wet & wild they aren't all perfect but for my needs they work well enough the fun part of make up I think is trying a bunch of different things til you can find what works for you have fun be patient & practice I'm far from the caliber of many of these beautiful men & women here but learning is half the fun ( sorry for rambling )

If you're referring to foundation my picks would be NARS, Laura Mercier, Bobbi Brown, L'oreal True Match, Lumi and Bourjois. I like med- full coverage with a luminizing finish and ideally something with a serum in it.
