Help me I swear I'm getting a bald spot! I had my beautiful daughter 3 months ago and I just recently started losing a lot of hair everyone tells me it's normal but is there something to do to stop it or to help the hair stop falling out? Please my husband will laugh at me for a long time if I get a bigger bald spot!

Hair is in a resting phase during pregnancy and when hormones calm down after delivery many experience increased hair loss usually when washing or brushing. Hair loss after delivery reaches it's peak at 3 months, and you should see everything return to the normal after 6 months. If you do not, please contact your health care provider. In the meantime try not to wear braids or use blow dryer unless use cool setting. You should start to see baby hairs growing in the spot.

That is totally normal. Continue taking your prenatals and maybe grab a odorless garlic vitamin to help with shedding. It will stop soon!

I lost hair at around 3 mo and after I quit bf at 15 mo. Not as bad the 2nd time. Dr said it was normal. I had a receding hairline that looked like a mans. Lol. My kid is 20 mo and my hairs about 3 in now. I also saw a ton of ppl in the salon happen to them.

When your pregnant you don't lose hair, thats why it gets so thick. so with your hormones depleting you start to lose all that hair! take your prenatals, drink water, and wait it out!

I have 6 months old baby and I'm lossing my hair too. A friend told me to smash like 15 birth control pills and put it in the shampoo that is going to help

I don't think that would help julia, bc pills are only activated when you take them orally and they dissolve. I'm no excited to lose my hair, I'm due in 10 days! lol.

Normal! As all the ladies here have said you don't looks your hair while pregnant... Well you still do a little bit but nothing like you usually would. Notice how your hair was thicker during pregnancy? Well now your loosing all that new thickness and you hair will return back to it's normal thickness before getting pregnant.

If you want your hair to stop shedding (although it normal) start drinking your prenatals again :) especially the Folic acid ones since those are the ones that replenish hair growth :-) it's completely normal! & actually smashing birth control & putting it on your hair does help because when you're showering, depending on the water temperature, your pores are open so they take in the pills just as if you were taking them orally, (I asked my doctor) good luck! & don't stress it! Take your Folic acid & in a few weeks everything will be back to normal

I think you pretty much just have to wait it out. It sucks! I wanted to get extensions, but it fell out mainly at my hairline which was awful!

I have heard of crushing Prenatal Vitamins or Biotin into Shampoo and Conditioner, but don't try the birth control pill thing... Also I have tried Not Your Mother's Way To Grow shampoo and conditioner and I think it did help with making my hair grow faster... It should get better after a couple of months though... And you could try getting some hair extensions to make your hair fuller
