I have the exact same problem. I like to blow dry it so that the bottom goes into like big waves/curls. So it's more bouncy. It's easy to do once you get the hang of it but it does take quite a bit of time.

I would have it relaxed if I was you. or put rollers in if you have enough time to spare. you could also blow dry it differently by using a round brush. you would need to section it first, and put slices of hair on the brush and blow dry it like the pro's:) use a curling mousse to add texture and leave it to dry by itself and you could use this before blow drying. my hair is like that aswell, I just put leave in conditioner in and use a conditioning mask every week as it might be frizzy because it is damaged and dry, like mine:)

Mine is naturally curly but goes frizzy if I don't do anything to it. So what I found really helps bring out my natural curls is Aussie hair products. I swear by them. Use Aussie Dual Personality Frizz Serum and Conditioning Milk and Aussie Curling Activating Mousse. This will combat frizz and give you amazing curls. I usually let mine air dry and the outcome is amazing. Plus they smell heavenly!

Omg I have the same hair and I relax it. It's so annoying though my hair is thick and hard to mange so I have no choice but to condition it lol. I'm trying to to put so much heat in my hair but I like my hair straight. Any ideas to prevent heat or damage?

I don't have curly hair, but it is rather wavy. My hair has always been very thick and VERY FRIZZY until just a while ago. I started putting in a little olive oil into my hair every day. After I shower, I towel dry my hair, take a very small amount of oil in my palms, and rub it through my hair, especially focusing on my frizzier spots. Now my hair is shiny, smooth, and my waves are beautiful. I'm sure if you use it, your curls will look nicer. If you feel like olive oil is too heavy, you can use a lighter oil such as coconut. I swear it has worked better than any store bought product I have EVER used! Hope it helps :)

I see that your hair is cut short. With curly haired girls short hair can turn into a "Afro" fast. Try putting conditioner on the bottom sections of your hair to tame the poofyness when you're styling. I just made up that word. Oh, we'll.

Sulfate free shampoo should be your best friend. Along with some sort of leave in conditioner and a styling glaze, mousse, or lotion. If you blow dry your hair KEEP YOUR HANDS OUT, your skin actually helps pull the curl out into a frizz. Try looking up any salon that carries diva curl product, there is also a book called the curly girl book. It has tons of tips for girls with these problems and more

MY hair is naturally curly and I usually make the curls smoother and more manageable with keratin products. I use a Cocoa Keratin smoothing shampoo and conditioner that also helps with frizz as well.

Round Trip, Super Skinny Balm, and other Paul Mitchell curly hair products. So good! I started using them last week because my stylist recommended them! I love how my hair feels now!
