Does vassiline/petroleum jelly make your lashes longer or does it condition them? Or neither?

I've tried using it multiple times but it's never worked for me! Maybe it's different for everyone, or I did something wrong, but that's just my personal experience.

Ok thanks Mackenzie!

If you mean Vaseline, then no but it will strengthen them. I know people are going to go on rants about how it may be bad or how it's not possible but whatever. I've used it for like 4 years on and off and it works. You have to rub it in between your fingers then apply to the top and bottom lash line at night. It really helps when I notice a lot of fall out in my lashes but it does take a couple days of doing this to see a difference. :)

Literally nothing can make your eyes grow except Latisse. Anyone who tells you otherwise is wrong. Applying things to your lashes can condition them, and make them APPEAR thicker and longer, but it does not work. Why? Your lash growth is genetically determined.
That being said, DO NOT put Vaseline on your eyes. It is terrible for them. It is not a moisturizer, it is a sealer. Therefore, it will seal the glands of your eyes and cause build up of bacteria instead of letting them be flushed out. It can cause bacterial infections, and build up on your lashes.
The only thing that can make your lashes ACTUALLY GROW is Latisse. If you would like more information about Latisse, google it. If you would like more information about how none of this other stuff grows your lashes, ask Jacqueline H. She disproved this beauty myth weeks ago.

Thank you Hannah lol. I'm getting really tired of seeing all these posts on growing eyelashes fast & people giving false information! it doesn't grow them. Vaseline, coconut oil, etc.only give the ILLUSION of it. you need to make a thread with all that information daily lol.

I want to convince Jackie to make a thread about beauty myths and rules! Like how this lash growth crap is nonsense, and how you shouldn't contour with bronzer and WHY. It's just very...repetitive. I feel like if people read her thread they might finally accept it.

Yeah, it's very repetitive. hopefully you can convince her! have to add all the crazy stuff that supposedly makes your hair grow to that list too.

But I must say my lashes are pretty long to start with, but they tend to snap.

Okay seriously, Lili and I just had an entire discussion explaining that this is all just a myth. Please stop perpetuating it, there is no basis behind it at all. Your lash growth is determined by GENETICS.

Well, maybe we thought it worked!!
