Would coloring my hair with chalk damage my hair?

I want to color my hair with chalk but I'm not sure if it will damage my hair or if it will leave my hair tht way permanately if you know wht I mean...

Color your hair with any colour chalk pastel in 4 easy steps. Wet hair, twist the hair you want colored, color it with the pastel of your choice. Let hair dry and use brush through to remove excess chalk. DONE.

If you want it to be temporary I would use chalk, it's not damaging. Plus it'll rinse out I'm sure in a few washes. I've heard and read stories about kool aid being very staining, so once it's there it'll be a long while before it fades if it does. I say you're better off with chalk.

Only use hair chalk, it's different then regular chalk and isn't damaging to the hair. It's not easy to get out though. A few washes and it's gone but it lasts a few days.

Hair chalk isn't permanent, so I'd advise using Hair Chalk. You can put it on dry or wet hair and it'll wash out within 1-3 shampoos. If you use kool-aid it will be more permanent. So use Hair Chalk.

No. might feel gross but won't damage at all. just use clarifying shampoo after to get it all out.

Also since you have dark hair the color won't be as vibrant.

When I had black hair I used a light pink hair chalk in my hair and it was still vibrant and came out before I even shampooed because I play with my hair a lot! Just be careful because it can stain your clothes!

Lighter hair is the only time I've seen hair halks stain but you won't have that problem. one thing tho, the chalk will flake off onto your clothing and will rub off on anything you brush up against aka hats, people and what not. since your hair is so dark it will take a lot of chalk to make the color stand out so it will feel very dry and stiff. they have hair color in like mascara tubes that won't be as vivid but they stay put once dried. you could also get some clip in hair extensions in any color you choose that might be a better option for you. I got the hair chalk from sallys in orange and it wound up everywhere while I was putting it on. on the floor, my hands, my clothes plus it was kinda hard to get it where I wanted it to be. a quick brush and the color was gone and this was supposed to be the good stuff.

If you do go the chalk route, do it standing in the shower because it goes EVERYWHERE and is a bitch to clean up.
