What with garlic base coat?

Ok so I keep hearing people talk about putting prices of garlic under there base coats. I have had this one for years, can't tell the brand it kinda rub off (it has a cursive j as the logo) I never really used it though, do you think it would work.

Found it, the brand is Jordana.
