Just wondering if I can use a top coat as a base coat? I know they are two different things, but I'm doing my nails quick before I go to a party tonight. Thank you!

I wouldn't, is that the only thing you have to use for a base coat?

For now yes. I lost my base coat a little while ago and havent gotten around to buying a new one.

Yes, but if you use it to help keep your look longer (thats what a base coat can do) or help it grow, then no. The only thing a top coat will do as a base coat is protect your nails from staining due to your nail polish.

That's what I'm looking to do is prevent stains. I'm going to wear a pink nail polish and don't wanna stain my acrylics.

Then yes, just do two coats to be safe.
