Don't do anything to damage it
If you have damaged hair I recommend you cutting it off
So it can grow long & healthy (:

Well try to keep away from heat and styling products on a daily basis. Also make sure you keep up with cutting/trimming your hair (about an inch or so) every 3-6 months. This won't exactly help it "grow" but it will keep it healthy looking and you'll see a difference in your hair. I've done these things for a little less than two years and my hair goes a bit past my waist and it's healthy haha. A couple last tips:
Natural hair masks for every couple of months are awesome!
Brush your hair daily
After a shower, brush your hair with a WIDE tooth comb, your hair is much to sensitive to be combed by any normal comb after a wash.
If you are going to use a heating tool, use a heat protectant spray.
Not washing your hair during every shower helps too, gives your hair a break from all the chemicals in the shampoo.
Not having your hair up for a constant amount of time is important too. It won't just tug on your hair, it can weigh on your head too much when your hair starts to get long. That can happen to me and I get headaches.
I also use coconut oil or argan oil daily on my ends to keep them healthy.
I color treat my hair and by doing these things, I've managed to grow out my hair from about shoulder length to where it is now. Hope this helps :)

Kitty will probably answer soon lol but I cut mine every 6 months. I do it myself cause I don't trust stylists. I would take daily vitamins and hair skin and nail pills. Use no heat while growing out. Well use less. And do deep treatments once every week. Try a castor oil one. Castor oil is good for hair growth. Massage your scalp. For about five minutes every day. Try not wearing it up a lot. I braid mine instead.

Yes agree with cat. I try not over brushing my hair and if I do brush I brush with a wide tooth comb. DON't comb at all when wet. I use a t shirt to dry my hair instead of towels and I shower twice a week. Hope this helps. And you can use dry shampoo if oilyness is a problem.

Taking biotin helps, also not washing your hair every time you shower is really good for your hair.

Eat healthy. drink water. don't take pills without consulting your doctor or you may have side effects. get trims as needed. try strengthening treatments with coconut oil. use as little heat as possible. when you do, use a heat protectant like It's a 10. use a sulfate & silicone free shampoo & conditioner. L'oreal Everstrong is a great line. try a leave in conditioner & Moroccan Argan oil. Hope this helped! oh, also do NOT use mane n tail. it will make your hair very brittle & also does not make your hair grow. all the wax just weighs your hair down. :)

Take biosil!! It's a it's an easily absorbed form of silica. It helps your body to produce more of its own collagen, which is good for our nails, skin and hair!!
