Okay. so I'm going on vacation in like two weeks and I need help. I'm going to b wearing a bikini there and I need advice. so I'm really hairy. like everywhere. most be genetics. anyways. whenever I try to shave "down there" my skin gets iratied and red and itchy and bumpy. :( I'm going to ask my auntie to give me a wax down there cause she's a cosmetician and will do it for free. but I'm really nervous and self conscious. any tips??

I definitely wouldn't want my aunt doing that for me... I would be weirded out. You should go to someone who is highly recommended in your area. Maybe ask some of your friends where they get waxed? Either way, if your going to be self conscious no matter who you go to, I would recommend wearing smaller than usual underwear, or a thong to cover up as much as you can without the material getting too in the way. But just remember! Hair is normal, and they wax people everyday! It's not like it will be anything they've never seen! Have fun on your vacation! Hope this helps.

Bikini wax is fine just wear underwear. I am an esthetician and it's perfectly fine to be nervous, wear bikini bottoms or underwear, take deep breaths and help your aunt pull the skin taut as the pain will be lessened, make sure she applies pressure immediately after the wax strip is pulled to relieve the instant but short lived pain, when she is done apply a cool cloth and then tea tree oil or witch hazel (will also help prevent those tiny red bumps) and then apply some baby powder over the waxed area to absorb the excess moisture and prevent your clothing from irritating the area, it'll be fine and you'll love your bikini wax! If you find the area a bit tender later on in the day apply a cool cloth as needed, good luck and enjoy your trip :)
