To get the non-shiny kind, try a matte lipstick. Mac has a gorgeous red named Ruby Woo in matte formula and it is one of my favorites. It is SUPER matte that it can be drying. To keep the lips non-shiny skip on the lip gloss. That just adds shine. To remove excess oils of the lipstick, do the "finger-pop", where you put a thumb in your mouth, making kind of a fishy face, and pop out your thumb. Your thumb will have a lot of the lipstick on it. This also helps with keeping lipstick off your teeth.

Try getting a matte lipstick from mac and a gloss from sephora and put the gloss were light hits your lips (were its shiny the most)

I use Kate by Rimmel London in shade 01, I love it and it lasts forever! I went into town with my boyfriend today and after having ate and drank various stuff I got home to find it perfectly in place and not faded at all!

As a base I use Chapstick and then I wait for 15 mins for it to sink in. I apply the lipstick and blot, apply, blot, apply.
I don't use any lipgloss/balm over the top, but you can get a lipstick lock, so it won't smudge at all

Apply your lipstick
Put a 1 ply piece if to or tissue and apply pressed powder over the tissue do it as many times as you need to get it how ever matte you want

I use the revlon matte lipstick. The name of the color is really red. Under it, I use the sephora red nano lip liner to have a more precise application and then after, I go over the lipstick on the outside of my lips with the lip liner one more time to make sure everything looks crisp. When I want that extra pouty shine, I just add a dab of the bombshell's red lip gloss on the center of my lips and take a white eyeliner or a frosty eyeshadow color and highlight my Cupid's bow (the dpi between the highest points on your upper lips).
