Omg that happens to me too! I have no idea why

Possible product separation. The products you have applied may not be interacting well hence the spotty appearance.

Ok...skin spots. Are you using the makeup to cover them up or you having spotty after application issue?

I can't enlarge the pic but from my end it just looks like you need a vitamin c serum to address the spots and fade them along with a moisturizer containing spf30. Weekly exfoliation should also be included if you aren't already doing so.

And see these same spots in your chin area emerging as well. Retinol cream (otc) should be incorporated into nighttime program as well...using at least once a week.

It could well e product separation... I'll try a different primer. Thanks so much Shelley! My skin is hormone crazy at the moment, I do need to sort that - you're the best xx

Kerri-Ann I also used to faced primed and poreless and the too faced BB cream and had that same issue it was a bummer, plus the primer claims to have retinol in it so I thought it was a plus.

You're welcome Kerri-Ann.

It looks like product separation. You have to be careful when using a primer. if your foundation or lotion is water based then the primer needs to be as well.

This may sound weird but when my foundation does that on the tip of my nose I don't use as much pressure with my brush buffing it in...it's weird but it works for me :)

This happens to me as well and since I got my clarisonic it doesn't happen as frequently. I think Shelley is on to something with suffering a retinol. I have sensitive, roasacea plagued skin so I am nervous to try it, but it makes sense. Trust her, she's a skin care goddess and just look at how gorgeous her photos are as proof that she knows her products!

I agree with Shelley! Another thing I suggest is switching to a brush like the MAC 130. It's a dense brush (more so than the 187) and really helps with flawless aplication. Because of the density you also end up losing less product between the bristles.

I'm on my phone so it's hard to see but I'm guessing it's product separation? I just started using M.A.C Fix+ as my primer and then as a finishing spray and I am LOVING it. It's making a world of difference, and I was using Too Faced Primed and Poreless, hmmm there's a theme here! I also used to do what Crystal says and stipple a lot lighter on my nose.

This happens a lot when the oils from your nose area mix with your foundation,if you over work the area the oils make your product separate.

I have the same problem also. quite annoying lol.

I understand product seperation and how things can interact with each other but this had only happen to myself after using the too faced prime & poreless with the too faced BB cream.question for Traci, does weather play a part on skin issue like this?
Jan 2, 2014
Traci L.
I can't really tell from that pic Alma but I no from my face and doin some others that the tip of the nose produces a lot of oil so when you put your foundation and powder on and the oil penetrates threw it it makes it look very blotchy, not everyone nose does this but mine does so I just blot before I put powder and I don't buff to much on it or it will be a hot mess lol.

Thank you Traci, so far I've only had this issue with the BB cream and that primer together.I'm at war with it lol.

I think some products just act different with out body oil ,maybe that's why some people makeup oxidizes and the the same shade on someone else won't who knows lol
