I got eczema on my cheeks in September and I was really freaking out. I just washed my face with cold water every morning and night and it went away. Now if I wash my face with hot water it kind of returns so I make sure to only wash with cold water. Helped me, good luck!

I have eczema on my entire body. I of course have a prescription for mine, but some good moisturizers I've found that help would be cerave and Lush's dream cream! Just put it on at night, and hopefully by morning it'll be a ton better.

I used to get eczema on my cheeks in high school. I used original Curel lotion, it's the only thing that helped me. I've heard good things about coconut oil also. Make sure you're keeping your face cleaned and staying hydrated as well. I hope it clears up for you soon, I know how frustrating if can be!

I had the worst time of my life a year ago, I started off having really bad itching area's on my arms, hands, neck and face, especially around my eyes. The doctors gave me plenty of moisturisers, literally around 38?! Some people say E45 work (it didnt for me) and some say sudocreme works, you can buy these without a prescription, and oil actually smoothes the skin. One moisturiser worked for me, and thats called Epaderm, its pretty oily, but it basically helped me so much. Stay away from creams that have alcohol/fragance in, they sting usually.

Oh yeah, hot water made it worst, flamed it back up so bad and extremely itchy. So try use warm but not hot water in bath/face wash and that.

Is cerave better than cetaphil?
Jan 3, 2014
Lexi K.
To me, CeraVe has more beneficial ingredients for the skin. Cetaphil was too greasy for me.

What is your skin care routine lexi? If you don't mind me asking

Lexi K.
I don't mind at all :)
At night, I'll take off my makeup with jojoba oil, and makeup remover wipes or baby wipes.
Then I cleanse my face with the CeraVe foaming cleanser. It's super gentle, and works for me because I have combo skin. CeraVe hydrating cleanser would be better if you have very dry skin.
After I dry my face, about 3x a week, I'll use the st ives scrub free exfoliation pads, wait for it to dry, then apply my moisturizer.
For moisturizing I use the Clinique dramatically different moisturizing gel on any oil parts of my face. Then the CeraVe moisturizing cream for any dry parts, and around my eyes
When I wake up in the morning my skin is very soft, I'll usually just splash a little water on my face, apply the same 2 moisturizers and sunscreen, then apply my makeup. :)
