Ok. Recently I have been getting dry, flakey skin near my eyelids. It's red but it's not itchy but it just looks really weird. I don't put makeup on it or anything but I was wondering what it is or what to put on it? I just recently got it ( few weeks to a month ago ) and don't want to make it worse by putting unknown products on it. I'm pretty sure it's just the winter time dryness getting at it. Here's a picture: so any suggestions as to seeing a dermatologist or doctor? Or what products to use or to make my flakes disappear?

Definitely go to a doctor or dermatologist! The skin around eyes is especially delicate, and you don't want to put harsh products there.

I got that too girl, go to the emergency room. The doctor diagnosed me right away, gave me a prescription for antibiotics and told me to get benadryl lotion and Aquaphor lotion. the Aquaphor will be your best friend and it soothes as well
also, at night time and morning, get a washcloth with hot water and gently wash the eye area with baby shampoo. this helps with cleaning off the dry flakes

Maybe try cucumbers or moisturizing.. It could be something your putting on your face or eyes... That's not normal.. You should prob go to the derma lol.

As soon as it appeared I stopped using stuff on my eyes though I normally just used mascara. Thanks everyone I had made an appointment with my doctor a while ago but it was postponed.

I'm not one to self diagnose, but when this first started appearing it was when I started using a new mascara. The picture was from when I first got it and I stopped using the mascara and it's gotten better. I'm pretty sure I was allergic to something in the mascara, but I am going to see the doctor in a week and I will let you guys know what it is! xx
