Here is a video done by lush cosmetics in protest of animal testing that depicts the cruelty of it all by subjecting a human woman to the tests - please be aware its pretty graphic but shows just how inhumane animal testing really is : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f4K9iSyj_lk&feature=youtube_gdata_player.

That's really hard, most of the makeup here in the us test on animals. I think animal testing is upsetting but like I said, I love makeup but I'm also a single mom living on a low income so I can not afford makeup brands like tarte & a few high end make up (a few cause most test on animals too) I know there's also nyx & elf that don't test on animals but my other temptation is like maybelline, L'Or?al& other drugstore makeup are coming out w/new products is hard FOR ME to say no. Like I mentioned is sad & unnecessary to test on animals & hopefully in the future a majority of the drugstore makeup will stop testing on the precious, innocent animals. I feel like what about the sexual predators & alllthose freaks that are in jail, why can't they test on them, but I know that is way out of the question & most of the people will not accept or agree & hopefully I didn't offend no one with my reply:)

@diana I'm with you on disliking animal cruelty the problem I have is that its hard to find products that don't test on animals some claime to be cruelty free but thats a dam lie, I tend to buy products that say there cruelty free but don't do my research on it sorry but I'm being honest its just I don't have time to do research I downloaded the leaping bunny app but that was no help at all I would go to the dam store and couldnt find nothing that was on the app and thats frustrating, can you do us ladies a favor and post a cruelty free thread like post a thread with all major brands high end and low end and say if they are REALLY CRUELTY FREE

I just did some research on this matter and can tell the European girls that the EU have some pretty good rules against animal testing! Nothing is ever perfect and I'm not saying that animal testing don't occurs in Europe, but I buy my makeup with the knowledge that the EU is preventing as much animal testing as they can!

I agree with sabrina many european brands are against it - and for US drugstore brands there are not a lot but there are some if you stick to the natural makeup aisle you can find brands like pacifica, the yes to line and burts bees they are pretty good about not performing animal testing and I know some companies say they are cruelty free but their parent brand is not or their suppliers are not - but there is a dupe for everything out there ladies n even if you can't afford high end makeup you can make your own makeup for cheaper like lipsticks and other skin care products more naturally - I think as long as you are a conscious buyer when it comes to cruelty free products and support more cruelty free brands then at least these small changes performed by enough individuals will send a message to big corps that animal testing is not okay n we as consumers are trying to do something about it
