Okay so I'm feeling rather spontaneous and might dye my hair right now... Should I leave it alone or go a chocolate brown or burgundy? Just curious before the store closes hahahaha (pic of my hair how it is now)

If I go a darker color do you think it will take a lot to get lighter highlights if I ever decided I want some?

No, hair dye tends to fade at least a bit after a few washes, and highlights won't require bleach or destroying your hair :)

Burgundy would be pretty if that's what you want but I still say dark brown :) I'm more of a golden fan, as opposed to reddish.
