It depends on how old they are, how deep they are and what type of scar. I would start off by seeing your family doctor and seeing what they can recommend.

A natural way would be to use cocoa butter. I use the stick that you could get from walgreens or cvs.

My brother cut his arm with a broken window and it left a 5 inches scar. my mother put in his scar a slice of green squash for like 30 min almost every day. and now is hardly noticeable. But that was a deep bad scar.

Any form of moisturising will encourage collagen formation however unless the scars are red and still healing there is very little you can do unless you'd consider lazer or high frequency treatment (studying beauty therapy)
