Thinking about leaving Beautylish.

I don't know I just try so hard to use my talents and it never seems to work very well. I know practice makes perfect and I won't ever stop doing nails but I don't get noticed. Not on any of my social sites. :/ I'm jealous tbh. I see all these girls on the homepage with hundreds of "likes" and I have 1? Maybe 2. It's just frustrating. Anyway I think I'm going to leave the Beautylish community. Thanks for all those who have helped me out.

You shouldn't give up just help more people an make people go on your page to see your nails.

Agree. I haven't see you over here. You have to participate more here and there, then more people will see your profile and pictures. Don't give up honey!

You are pessimistic. That is not good and will never help you. You have to practice as all girls here say. And be more positive. If you are happy and ful of happiness people will want to be friends with you. Hope this helps.:-)

I agree with Megan H!
Social media, and this app especially, is not a popularity contest. It's about connecting with people you wouldn't otherwise be able to connect with. So...connect! Make an effort to start conversations and compliment people on their designs. Take pictorial requests. Of course you want your stuff to be seen, but you should do it because you love it, not because you want attention. At the end of the day, getting recognition is not worth much. If nails make you happy, be happy and take pride in your work, and don't wait for someone to give you a clap on the back and gold star on your forehead. The BL community is awesome and has been so kind to me. And you know what? I don't get any likes on my pictures either! But I don't see that as a reason to leave, because I still get a chance to talk to some awesome girls, and that's what it's all about.

I agree with all of them either help people more or add more topics to get noticed. Don't leave this site really helps.

Sucessful people try and try and try again. Find other tactics to promote yourself. Giving up is certainly not the answer.

Bryanna, I've noticed you for quite a while and I must say, you're doing a great job on your pics! Don't pay attention to other people's pictures to tell you you're not beautiful! You have to keep working hard and stop being jealous of others just because they have thousands of likes on their pictures. I would honesty hate to see you leave 😥

You should also take a look at this pic. Yes, it is you but then take a look at the comments!

Then here are the comments. Comments are a lot more important than likes on a picture!

I agree with everyone. Beautylish is a family, not a social media site. We are close knit and it's all about making connections with others. A lot of relationships are formed through the talk forum. When you show love to others, it will definitely be returned. I've been here almost six months with 891 followers. Why? Because I interact and try to connect with other people. But don't get caught up in numbers, it's not a popularity contest. Remember, It's a family 💋

I have barely any followers and no likes. I don't think you should do what you like for likes. I like beautylish because I love hearing and giving any advice it can hear or give. Not a popularity contest so don't take it personal

Girl, I started beautylish like 3+ months ago, and guess what? Nobody still notice me! I know crazy right? No but, I only download this app so I can practice and learn other peoples skills of MakeUp, so I myself can be better at doing my own makeup, and by downloading this app made me a pro at doing my makeup like literally no lie, I'm actually taking real good care of my skin lately because of what people say on beautylish, and my skin is getting flawless because of the advise people have told me on here. If you wanna leave beautylish because you are not getting the attention you want, than go ahead, no one is stopping you. But if you wanna be those girls who get the "100" of likes than stay and join the beautylish community often! get along with people, make friends. go ahead give it a try (:

Beautylish isn't about followers/likes. It is about learning and sharing your creativity. You don't need people to notice you to be here. This is for attention and I have no understanding of why you would post this unless it was to gain followers. If you want to go, go. You don't need us to make that choice for you.

Also instead of making an unhappy, blaming post to us why don't you make a happy post and say " go check out my photos!"

Jan 13, 2014

Bry R.

I post question and answer questions, follow people and comment on picture. I don't know it's honestly not anyone's fault. Lol even in school I'm just a shadow. @Cami. I was NOT blaming anyone.

Jan 13, 2014

Bry R.

@Camit there really is no need to be rude. Of course it's for attention. I'm not the only one who does it. Isn't that why people post picture of themselves or their work? To get attention and praise for it?

To the rest, thank you. I'm not sure I'm staying but thanks anyway. I will still do nails but I personally think they aren't "social site" ready. I think what I'm going to do after sleeping on it is take a break for a few months then come back with like 30 new pictures. And this isn't even about my profile :/ may just be my low social self esteem (if that made sense) but even over the Internet I don't feel part of anything. Which I guess is why I was never too active.

Bryanna, hope to see you back again. It's normal for all to feel overwhelmed and not appreciated in the art world but you have to get pass all of it because it's what drives you for the Art that you choose to explore.Their is this quote I heard that made me have chills because it's so true "Beautiful things don't ask for attention" which I think should always be in the back of your mind to stay humble and help you continue what you enjoy doing.
