I went and got color matched at The Estee Lauder Counter at Macys and the shede was close but not spot on so I only used the sample and I returned the bottle un-used. And I thought I should go up one shade well the shade is way to dark for me and my neck stands out I'd like to return it and get colored matched again so it fits the color of my neck. Can I take this back again and trade it or should I just try to lighten it up.
I'm kinda embarrassed but this stuff is $40.20 and I just want a perfect match however I don't want them to think I'm just playing around

Yeah, if you haven't used it and still have the receipt then they should take it back.

I wouldn't be embarrassed. As long as you are following their return rules, you have the right as a consumer to return products you are not satisfied with. I'm sure the people who work behind the counter are used to people returning things- make up products can be trial and error for everyone at some point. Also... Whoever matched you made a mistake, so it's kind of their fault you had the return the first bottle so don't feel too bad.

If it is unused there should be no problem especially if you have a receipt or bank statement. It's there job to colour match you properly. The lady I buy my foundation from knows me quite we'll now as I've gone there for a couple of years but even at first she was happy to swap a product if I wasn't happy with it. Don't let them intimidate you, the customer is the whole reason they are stood there in the first place. Unfortunately some of these beauty counter assistants are full of their own importance and not always helpful. Don't be afraid - if your not trying to send everything you buy back it's their problem not yours 😃

They should absolutely exchange it for you. I like to stick with companies that have a great exchange policy because you often run into the issue of colors not looking the way you thought when you get in different lighting, Sephora and Mary Kay are both great about that.

Take it back! It's your money, it's brand new, shouldn't be a problem at all! Don't let them make you feel otherwise!
