I'm usually not a eyeshadow type of person but I think I'm going to give it a try. I LOVE smokey eyes and I am dying to learn how to do it.
Anyhoo, I hear nothing but great things about the NAKED palette so that's what I'm going to go with. However, the price made me cringe a bit. But then, I saw a NAKED Basics palette for $27 at Ulta. What is the difference between the two? To me, it doesn't look like much of a difference. Looks like it's the same thing just with fewer colors. I hear that most people only use 3 or 4 colors from the NAKED palette anyway. I don't wanna pay $52 for something I am barely going to use. What do you guys think?
HELP!!

The naked basics is nothing but matte colors and the naked palette has shimmer, honestly to me there's no competition naked palette all the way I use every single color, if you set your mind to it you will use them all if not you won't I definitely think the naked is worth it

^ Pretty much what Lili said. Naked Basics is all matte, and the other Naked palettes contain more eye shadows in terms of variety and quantity. But I think that of you don't wear much eyeshadow and don't see much of a difference between the palettes, going with the basics would be a good idea. But you can't go wrong with any of the palettes. =) Hope I helped!

I use every color in my naked 2 palette besides the black. I've used it before, but barely. Love the others and use about 4 a day!

I have the basics palette and I love it! Shimmery colors don't really look good on me so the basics palette was perfect for me

I'm head over heels for the naked 2 I've used every single color. the possibilities are endless with so many different shades.
however, if you're still learning I would probably stick with the basics for now. it's a great pallet too. perfect for everyday smokey or a more bold intense smokey. :)

I personally wouldn't get it, but I wouldn't get the NAKED either. I had it and returned it. The Lorac Pro palette is soooo much better. 8 mattes, 8 shimmers, super pigmented, and is a bit Cheaper then a NAKED palette (but more then basics).

Erin, someone else told me the Lorac palette would work better for a woman of color. I'm going to look into both. Thanks for the photos!!

You will not regret your Naked purchase, there is so much you can do with it. At the same time, the basics palette is awesome too, good for everyday wear.

@ Ashley - You're welcome! They are certainly right. I wanted to love my Naked palette but the brown was to ashy on my skin to do anything with. Naked3 is much better in terms of all 3, to me, but with what you're going for right now, Lorac Pro would be best.

I don't use the lorac as much just because the colors don't work well with my skin tone, but I love love love my naked palette. I use every color. I don't think with your skin tone though that you'd regret the lorac, either.
