I cheated on my current foundation stash with Becca in Ever Matte. I found the perfect color match...it just melted right into my skin but it did not go down as a matte. More like a satin. That was bummer number one. Bummer number two...two hours into wear I saw I needed to blot...like seriously blot. Several sheets used. The third bummer came when my daughter came home after being gone all day. She straight up asked if I had been cheating on my current foundations because my chin/mouth area looked a hot mess. Citing the whole two-toned look due to hyperpigmentation (a major issue WOC encounter). She pointed out the offending area and after looking at the foundation noted there just wasn't enough yellow in the formula to cancel that out.

Very bummed out that this was a dud for me. Oh well.

This pic was taken soon after application so the darkening of the chin is just getting started...

Shelley what foundation do you usually use?

@Janet...my thoughts exactly.lol
@Mhairi...there are several that actually work great for me...a Laura Mercier formula that I'm testing for the brand and hasn't been released to the public yet, Giorgio Armani Maestro, Bobbi Brown foundation stick, Maybelline FitMe foundation stick. Melts right into my skin with no issues.

How is the Maybelline FitMe foundation stick for keeping oil away? So far, I've been pretty impressed by the Rimmel 24hour Lasting Foundation. (I think that's what it's called...) Plus, I've been toning my skin lately and I think that is helping too :)

@Jill...I love the FitMe. Does a great job at keeping my oil slick from turning into a 911 emergency.

Forget the foundation and lets talk about your hair and how much I just want to touch it! is that weird? but I seriously die over hair like yours.  Beautiful!

Shelley, thanks for your thorough review. I'm sure it was disappointing after your success with their lip/cheek tints.

It sure was Tina because the line is overall pretty good but as with every brand...there are hits and misses.

I so didnt want to take it back CPT-Lili R but I didnt want my daughter going in and doing correcting work everytime I wanted to wear it. She told me how she would do it but my brain went on the fritz once she started discussing techinique.lol.
