I've heard so many story's on putting Vaseline on your eyelashes to make them longer, is this true? Does it work? And how much do you need to apply?

No, it doesn't work. Petroleum is a sealant! It looks like it's working because the build up gives the illusion of fuller longer lashes but in the long run it's doing more harm than good and could cause eye infections. Please don't do it but if you want to its your body, I can't stop you.

I do not recommend it. Vaseline I terrible for you actual eyes. From what I hear. So isn't think you want that getting into your eyes.
Also you cannot make anything grow longer since the length or hair and eyelashes are genetic.

NO. NO NO NO NO NO.

I really wish this myth would go away. It will NOT make your lashes grow at all. Your eyelashes go through the same growth phases as your hair, and they have a predetermined length. The only thing proven to make your lashes grow longer is Latisse. Aside from that, Vaseline is just a bad thing, in general. It's crap. It's a sealant, not a moisturizer, so if you put it on your eyes it can seal your lashes and prevent your eyes from flushing out bacteria. That can cause styes and infections, any any "growth" you may see is simply product build up.

It doesn't make your lashes grow but it does temporarily make them seem thicker and longer, I've put Vaseline on my eyelashes plenty of time and they do look longer and thicker

It won't make them grow. The lashes stop at a certain point then shed you'll need to try something that will actually help it grow like latisse I believe is the name
