Hourglass lipstick, honest opinion and application question?

I just bought the mini hourglass opaque rouge liquid lipstick in icon at Sephora today. It'd be really nice if I could get honest opinions on how it looks (I don't mind even if you say it looks like crap lol). I can't tell if it looks good or not.

Also when I applied it, it went on patchy and unpleasant. I was wondering if it's because I put lip balm on before or if it's the product itself. And how do you get it to not get on your teeth? Thanks!

The color is pretty on you. It goes with your skin very nicely. To avoid getting lipstick on your teeth, make your lips into an O shape, and slide your finger through your lips. You should be left with a ring of lip color on your finger. This gets any lipstick on the inner part of your lips off. I hope this makes sense and doesn't sound too weird! Haha

It might be because of the lip balm. Next time you apply it, apply lip balm a couple minutes before and then wipe off your lips before application.
