Makeup lighting issues

Out of sheer curiosity...

Am I alone here when it comes to being extremely finicky about the lighting when doing my makeup?

The bathroom lighting is too harsh/fluorescent. I will literally go through different lamps and light switch combinations until I find the perfect mix of dim/soft light. Normal or weird quirk?

I do mine by my bedroom window, which is practically the size of the wall. It has the best lighting. They also sell light bulbs that mimic natural daylight.

I think it's a weird quirk, I have it to. But I'm also color picky, as in it doesn't matter if I have a purple eyeshadow I need 'x' and 'x' shade of purple eyeshadow...Eh...

I prefer to use natural light, but as I get up at 4;30 to leave my house at 5:20 it's generally still dark outside.

I always go for natural lighting and do it by a window (because its the best!), but when it's too dark outside I use the light bulbs that mimic day light as Kitty said:)

I always use natural light to apply and photograph my makeup. I tweak my camera settings to lighten or darken the exposure.

I'm SUPER picky. I sit in weird places to do my makeup all the time because of better lighting
