Does anyone uses the Ulta app? And from ulta what do you normally buy there?
Another Question: What is the differencd between Sephora and Ulta? Which one is cheaper? And which one is better?

No. The only advantage Ulta has over Sephora it that it also sells drugstore items as well some lower end brands. If you were to go to Ulta or Sephora for an Urban Decay product, it'll be the same amount both places. Like Renay said, Sephora has a bigger variety in high end brands & a good point system.

I use the Ulta to look up products and the reviews. I also use the app to keep track of all my points,discount, and sales.
I am more of a hair product junkie so I always buy hair products there but I go into the store to purchase it because some salon professional hair products are only sold in store only.
I also buy nyx lippies too.
I've never been to Sephora but people I know prefers Ulta over Sephora. Everyone's preference is different though :)
one that I can say is Ulta is VERY addicting lol. I just left the store not too long ago. I go like once a week.

I have the app for both. I'm sad and have an app for like any possible place to shop hahaha.
like the ladies have said Ulta has drug store and high end where as Sephora is only high end and has more variety when it comes to high end.
I can't even begin to list what I buy at either place, or we'll be here all day lol.
I honestly prefer ulta's point system ever since they switched to where points adds up to money off a purchase. sometimes I find the samples you get with sephora are kind of eh, or at least the choices. but last time I went to ulta between my mobile offer which you can get on the app, and the money I had built up in points I saved like 30 dollars. Sephora needs to switch to a money off system because I would be getting entire purchases for free hahaha

Ulta sells stuff for a little higher prices I bought my train case from Walmart and saw it on ulta for ten dollars higher.

And also certain irons are higher like the con air brand. It's not a lot of difference but some stuff I've noticed go from $5-10 cheaper at Walmart. But again not necessarily everything

@Phylicia thats what I'm about to use the apps for ;D lol JUST for that. I have sephora and ulta up the street , I can walk. So I'm good with the sales.
@Kimberly girl I got cooking books , blogs , stores , anything on my phone. I like ulta better still and I even got the App for that!

Also remember that while sephora offers a wider variety of high end products, ulta does carry high end products Thad sephora does not, for example, it cosmetics.

Good point Erica, as well as lorac since sephora got rid of it. pur minerals as well. Mario badescu for skin care which is an HG for me.

I like ulta a lottttt it really is addicting😂 I normally buy benefit products there. I have the ulta app, but I don't really use it that much bc going in the store is so much more fun!😋

Lol the store is more fun. I put both to good use. I browse the app forever and add everything I want to my cart then I go to the store, grab a bag and go through my list. have to stay organized haha. once I'm done with my list I'll browse the store :)

I personally don't like to shop at Ulta, in store or online as I don't like the way it's website is setup and I don't like the people in my local store. Sephora is my first love, but I'm going to give Nordstroms a shot in a couple months.
Anyway, both stores gave things the other doesn't. For example, you won't find Bobbi Brown, Kat Von D, Makeup Forever, Shisedo, Bite, YSL, NARS and a whole bunch of other brands that you'll find at Sephora. But you won't give drug store cosmetics, iT cosmetics, Lorac, lipstick queen, and a few other brands at Sephora. Plus, they carry a slightly better Too Faced Collection.
So it's really a 'to each their own' kind of thing. All the women I know prefer Sephora over Ulta and I'm included in that. But it all depends in your budget and what you're looking for honestly.

I love Ulta! The service is 1000x better at every Ulta I have been to compared to every Sephora I have visited. The ladies at Ulta take time to actually help you if you ask and are never pushy about up-selling. I also really like the app and website; they work better with my phone/computer browser than Sephora's.
I rarely wear makeup to go shopping, and it seems that because of that the employees at Sephora won't give me the time of day. It isn't just my local store either; I've had the same experience in multiple stores in the Sacramento and SF Bay areas. When I do manage to get someone to help me find what I am looking for, they act as if I am causing them some great hardship/wasting their time. I've given up on shopping there for exactly that reason.

I love ulta! The higher end products are always cheaper at ulta vs. sephora. You can always get deals at ulta.

I have the app but I mainly only buy lorac and nyx from ulta. My drugstore products I get from Wal-Mart,cvs, or Walgreens because I usually try to catch them on sale. Sephora is where I get my high end fix.

I go to ULTA for my drugstore makeup and Mario Badsecu skincare goodies plus nail colors. Sephora for higher-end makeup. The ULTA app is OK but its not as detailed imo like Sephora.

Like the ladies said its really your preference. It's only 2 Ultas in my area & they aren't that close. When I do go to Ulta I usually hit up the drugstore section because they always have good sales especially on NYX products. I go to Sephora more often because of proximity.
