13 I guess I think as soon as you are a teen you can wear it unless your going to wear it in a slutty way then don't but if not 13.

I'm 13 and I wear a lot of crop tops because they're just amazing for the summer. There is no appropriate age, just the age that you start feeling comfortable with wearing it.

And people really need to stop sexualizing clothing like no okay. Shoulders, stomachs and thighs are not sexual. Boobs and butts are just lumps of fat okay. I'm sorry I just think crop tops are very appropriate and its sad that girls need to think "does this make me look slutty?" instead of "do I like wearing this?" or "I look great in this!".

I think once they're in high school. young girls don't need to be showing an unnecessary amount of skin, in my opinion. there are creepy guys in the world & I don't think a young girl needs to be looked up & down like a piece of meat. but that's just my opinion.

Agree with being highschool age, unless you're layering it over a thick tank top. That's what I would do when I was younger. I don't mean the crop tops you could find in forever twenty one or the mall, I mean the cropped styled shirts that you'd find in the kids section with matching tank tops to wear under. As for actual crop tops; I'm in highschool, and I only started wearing them a few months ago. And I'm still strict about not letting them show shin by only wearing them with highwaisted items. But it's all personal preference, I suppose. There's no way I'm letting my future daughter wear them without a thick tank under them until she's in highschool, but that's just me.

I think it can depend on the occassion, intent and the way it is styled! Around 15 ish may be a good age to allow- 15 seems like the age where you can decide for yourself it is truly appropriate for the occassion and way it is worn.

And to add; I don't think they look 'slutty' or are degrading in any way. It's my personal choice not to show off that part of my body, but that doesn't mean I'm going to slutshame anyone who does. It's your choice. If you want to wear sweaters and coats to ensure you're completely covered even in the summer, go for it. If you want to wear crop tops and short shorts, go for it. It's your personal choice.

I think any age as long is perfect :) wear what you want and don't care what others think! I wear them with high waisted shorts and they're super cute! (I'm not trying to be rude, just saying what I think about them :))

Lol The reason why we wear them because we find them cute and fashionable, not because we want to get whistled at and stuff. And even if a female is wearing a crop top without showing their stomach, they still get that attention from men. We can't help it okay, that's just how some men are. There's nothing inappropriate with wearing a crop top. Showing your stomach isn't a big deal, you show your stomach when you wear a bathing suit don't you? It's just a stomach, it's not like your nipples are showing.
