Okay, so I've literally been using this face mask for 3 years and have always had fabulous results. It's the Neutrogena Clear Pore Mask and for some reason when I used it today it reacted really badly to my skin? I didn't use more than usual or leave it on too long, but everywhere it was on is SUPER red. It looks and feels exactly like a sun burn, and I have no idea why it did that or how to fix my skin.

Maybe you used a new makeup product or moisturizer and the two reacted together. I would put a cold damp wash clothes pressed on my face and leave it for a few minutes and then apply some aloe or vitamin E. (:

Maybe the product expired? Or have you been storing in in a different location? Sometimes heat or lack thereof can ruin a product over time.

You can develop allergies to products or items you have used successfully in the past without warning. Try doing a patch test on your inner elbow and see what happens. If it is an allergy, you may get a small reaction there (though not always). If not, it may be something else.

Your skin's "chemistry" might've changed, making it more sensitive. This can happen over time, or in response to things like hormones, illness, and allergies. You may find that if you try that product again in the future you don't have any issues. Conversely, you may start to find that similar products also cause reactions now.

Skin is a fickle organ for sure.
