Colour Name Question (Little Weird)

I often see "Lolita" as a colour name for purple makeup. It spans brands and even products (lipstick, nail polish, eyeshadow). I know "Lolita" is a book and what the book is about, but I have yet to read it. Is purple a symbol in the book or is it just relating to Lolita Fashion?

Thats a good question, I have no idea what the answer is but I also havent seen purple with the name lolita... When I think of lola or lolita it brings back memories of this phsyco as ladie I used to know lol.

The book Lolita is quite a dark book, but it's also a sexual book, which purple signifies the colour of passion. I think that's why purple makeup is called Lolita a lot.
