Help styling shorts

I have two pairs of high waisted shorts that I have a little trouble styling. I only have about one look for each. One pair is an acid wash, and the other is blue (like actual blue, not just blue jean). Any suggestions?

Acid wash: black, gray, or cream crop top and a utility jacket with high tops or combat boots.
Blue: brown or rust-colored top

Basically any solid colored crop top. Black, white, grey, Burgundy are the best matches. Also a graphic tee or printed crop top. The options are endless you just need to find what fits with your style.
