Here are my thoughts. I like the look of both. Although #2 looks a little more professional & a bit dressier although can be casual also. #1 is more casual. So consider what you would be wearing it with. In saying that, I find "flap-opening" bags are a little impractical when trying to get into the bag when its on the shoulder. It can kinda get in the way, when you have your hands full & if you're in a hurry. Also I like to wear my bag over my shoulder most of the time, and I like my bag close to my body, not dangling low, that's just me. Also, if you like to wear your bag on the crook of your elbow, #1 looks more comfortable. But if you do wear your bag on the crook of your elbow, #2 may be easier to get in & out of because it the actual opening of the bag will be closer to your arm regardless of the flap & not dangling a little lower like #1 would be. Decisions, decisions...
