No they aren't inappropriate. like Liz said it's underwear (: you should always wear what you feel comfortable with and if you like thongs wear them.

I feel they are inappropriate especially for younger girls. They were originally made as an intimate article of clothing. I still see them as such. It seems girls, and I'm guilty too, are in too big of a hurry to grow up. I don't see why anyone would wear them unless wearing them for their original purpose. Women can develop infections from anything that isn't made of breathable fabric. I find thongs to be very uncomfortable to wear for an entire day.

That's all I wear, like Liz said they're super comfortable and cute. It's just underwear! They aren't inappropriate, I've been wearing them since like 6th grade. I've been them for years and haven't gotten an infection from wearing them.

I don't like them at all. Especially in the locker rooms. People see way more than they need to see of you. Haha awkward but I don't know. I'm kinda conflicted. My underwear is lace so I don't have panty lines but they seem like thongs anyways because of the stretchy material they give you wedgies and makes it practically a thong (sorry tmi) 😂 my mom told me thongs symbolize that men will be seeing you in them and that's why you wear such intimidate "clothing". Depends on age. I don't think I'd want my daughter wearing them. If she was worried about panty lines, there's a lot of other things.

Why do people think the original purpose was for men to find you sexy? that's ridiculous lol. their purpose is to avoid panty lines... plain and simple. they're underwear with less material...why is that so sexualized?

Love them, I have a bubble butt and normal underwear just rides up haha. Target has nice stretch thongs with no seams, just a heads up.

Agree with renay it's like asking are cheekies or gstrings or booty shorts ok, it's all underwear it's under your clothes. I wear em and love them.. and they're sexy (to me)

Okay so I just did some research and they were originally made for men. To this day men still wear them but are more for women. I still find them very inappropriate and immodest. So just with everything I don't care for, I won't wear them. I will not judge anyone who chooses different though.

I don't find a string up my crack to be comfy lol, but I wear sometimes for no panty line. hopefully I can't see your underwear no matter what kind they are, so you will never need to defend y you do/don't wear them. they are sexual when you can see them in my opinion.

I think sometimes you need them. Nude colored underwear just doesn't cover it with some leggings. If your comfortable than. That's all that matters

It all Depends if youre showing them off or not? If you are wearing them to catch attention I think its just redicilous.
But if you just wear them for personal use, go for it! Its your underwear! :)
