Okay so I'm a horse rider / country girl and if you aren't a cow girl them don't wear clothes like that. if you are moving to a rural area where everyone rides and has cows them steer clear of that because it will make you look like a try hard. if you live in a city area then you could try but don't go overboard..

I have some friends who lived in Texas (Austin) and there everyone wore cowgirl boots, not tall ones though. And in all different colors too!

I agree with Zo E. if you aren't actually a country girl don't dress that way because people will think you are fake and not want to be your friend, they will like you for you. I know it irritates my friends and I to see fake country girls and trust me they are easy to spot, and we are the drama group and we spot them. so just be yourself

You don't have to go full-fledged country just because you're living in Texas. I do recommend a good pair of cowboy boots, you never know when you'll need them! I'd skip on the cowboy hat and anything that blatantly screams COUNTRY. Being country really is just a way of life, more than an outfit and it wouldn't really rub people the right way down here, but it's ultimately your decision! :)
It gets really hot in Texas so flowy sundresses are nice and they look great with a cute pair of cowboy boots! It's effortless and you'll fit right in :)
