I have some cream bronzer that I wanna put to use but I'm not exactly sure how I want to use it. I don't really use bronzers in general so I'm not sure where on the face to apply it. Any opinions or advice would be nice. Thanks :)

Its supposed to be put right under your cheek bone so like the trick is to make a fishy face and apply it from the hollow until the edge of your face? not sure if this is good advice.

I apply my cream bronzed in the hollows of my cheeks, on my forehead temples, a little bit on the sides of my nose, & under the jaw line. Then, I'll blend it out so it looks natural! I also add a little bit of cream blush to make it even more natural! I hope this helped!

Mostly it's to bring out where the shadows hit your face. Like you can do it below you cheek bones if you want to make them a little more defined. I'll get a picture.

I meant it also shows very well where you can highlight. Don't highlight where you would use bronzer lol.

Bronzer is not for contouring and thats what the others mentioned to use it for. ronzer should give skin a sun-kissed kok, so apply to the face where the light would shine if it were directly above?where your forehead meets your hairline, down the bridge of your nose, the tip of your chin, and the apples of cheeks.

Yes what Jacqueline! But do not use bronzer as contour. People often get those mixed up because bronzer is brown. Bronzer is used to warm up the face. So put it where you would be tan and wear light hits your face. Contour is just for creating shadows with a cool toned brown with a grey-ish undertone. I hope this helps.

Oh, ok, sorry. Then what is for contouring?

A cream or powder powder that is a couple shades darker than your skin tone. You use it on the hollows of your face. And it should preferably have a cooler undertone or have a greyish taupe tone.

Contouring is using a cool toned foundation or concealer or countouring kit to create shadows and give the illusion of an oval face. bronzers are usually warm toned that being its used for a sunkissed look. usually when someone uses bronzer to contour it looks muddy/dirty or even orange. people will swear its okay to use bronzer to contour but in reality it doesn't give the same effect.bronzer for contouring is a big nono In the makeup industry jackie has a more detailed explaination if you would like to ask her.

If you are looking for one I highly suggest the Mac nude on board creame bronzer, Doesn't make your face look messy or orangery after applying and it is very amazing! I've own mine for about a year now and love it. Its great for contouring also.

I've seen the Victoria's Secret makeup artist use a darker foundation on the cheeks, temples, around the forehead, side of the nose and down the neck and then used their actual makeup color as subtle highlight. If you're wanting a contouring product MAC makes these sculpting powders but you could just find a matte brown eyeshadow that's quite grey toned to mimic the look of a shadow
