As a spot treatment yes. you can also try aspirin & water paste, tea tree oil, peppermint oil, or honey :)

I suggest you try putting the baking soda concoction behind your ear or on the inner part of your arm before putting it on your face, should you have sensitive skin, you could burn.

@Radhika how long did you leave it on your face? some people's skin is more sensitive. that's why Ame suggested her trying a small amount on your arm to test how your skin will react.
