I usually hoard my sephora gift cards for a while until I find something exclusive. I usually buy palettes or value sets, since most are around $50.

I really like their Benefit and Too Faced gift sets with their best sellers in travel sizes. It's a great way to try some new products while refilling on a few favs. They also have little roller balls of perfumes that are perfect for tucking in a purse.

I agree with smaller sized items. Unless you have something you love that you are running low on, I like buying the smaller sized items that they keep near the register in those little bins. It's a fun way to try stuff out without making a major (and expensive!) commitment.

I like to save gift cards for things I wouldn't normally purchase, usually splurges. The hourglass ambient powder blushes are pricey but worth it (especially with spring around the corner). If you're in the market for a highlighter your gift card will cover Diors Amber (or rose) diamond highlighter.
Happy shopping!!

There are plenty of travel size things you can buy by the check out counter or you can see what is on sale - usually the sephora brand stuff is the cheapest in the store.

I've been enjoying Make Up For Ever HD cream blushes. Nice pigmentation and $26.

Probably two rollerballs, but I'm worse than an old lady with cats when it comes to fragrance. :D.
