Are you using toner, moisturizer, mask as well? It exfoliates so your skin may need to acclimate

What Jacqlyn said ^ often times you will break out at first when you start new face washes.

There is definitely such a thing as purging. My dermatologist told me that when I was put on my prescription medicines that my skin would probably break out more and then if I stopped taking the antibiotic my skin would purge all over again when starting it again. It's definitely a thing and you just have to suffer through it unfortunately. Just keep using it, and I would suggest using a moisturizer as well to just keep things from getting too dry.

Purging as in a few pimples coming to the surface ,not a full on breakout, and you definitely should not continue to break out for a month after using any new products,if you had pimples under the skin they will come to the surface however if you just getting pimples all over your face it may not be the product for you and a lot of people mistakenly use acne products when they don't have acne an occasional pimple now and then is not acne don't use products for acne unless you really have acne which is chronic ,if you have been using the cleanser for more than three weeks and your breaking out worse than normal thats not purging, thats your skin telling you to try something else

I recommend Lush or Skinfood for your face, it's a lot less harsh and its perfect! I myself am not acne prone, but, I had black heads like crazy and after two weeks on the black sugar mask scrub (once a week) my black heads are gone! I use the daily black sugar scrub cleanser too :) it's glory for your skin 👑 I was told murad can be pretty intense on sensitive skin..if your breakouts get worse, ditch it! Switch to a less intense cleanser 💖

It's normal to break out when you start any new acne medication but if you find that your face is peeling or sensitive to it then don't use it as often just once a day and if that is even too much you can use it every other day - murad did not work for me and was too much for my sensitive skin personally so I switched to more natural products like the alba botanica line, witch hazel toner n tea tree oil spot treatment and that has been working really well for me but everyone is different just make sure you pay attention to your skin and it will let you kno if you should stop using or keep going - if the breakouts continue after a month of daily use then probably you should stop but if you see improvement then stick with it.

Murad never worked for me. The whole acne line didn't do squat for me. The vitamin c line, nothing. A purge should be more than a few small zits.

Jacqlyn if your referring to Accutane there is no comparison that is a very strong
medication that forces all of your oil glands to dry up, and your skin will become terrible before it get better there are a ton of contraindications before you can take it and while your on it , a over the counter cleanser should not cause abnormal breakouts and people ignore what the skin tells them constantly, purging does exist but to a certain extent not a month long breakout , Murad is tested on thousands of people and I can assure you that they would have never put it on the shelves if it caused breakouts a purge when it comes to OTC products should be short lived if it's not its the wrong products for you

*not be more than a few zits is what I meant.
