I got "peek-a-boo" highlights dones a few days ago, and it was the first time I've ever bleached/dyed my hair. It's healthy, (for the most part) since I got it done professionally. But I would like to know some shampoo, conditioners, hair masks and/or whatever to help maintain its healthiness. Suggestions?

To keep it healthy, just keep it hydrated (bleached highlights can often leave your hair dry). I 100% recommend the Macadamia Deep Repair Masque, 3 or so times a week should help keep your hair in top shape.

Use a sulfate free shampoo.

Bleaching your hair takes out the pigment and protein from the hair. Hair is 83-87% protein and moisture levels are about 3% according to one site but have read that the hair is 90% protein and 10% moisture. So what I do is skip regular conditioner as it's more for "normal" hair. Bleaching the hair makes it... Well not normal anymore. I use two treatments but use one on one wash and the other on another wash. I have the Joico K-Pak reconstructor which is a protein based treatment and then use this one from Sally's that is geared more for moisture. Just using protein treatments can cause the hair to break while just using moisture treatments can have the hair feeling gummy when wet and it's weak.
