I've never had ombré hair, but I think it looks great on long and short hair. Definitely go for it. :)

I have done ombre before and it works for both short and long I recently chopped off all my hair but here us a perfect ombre for short hair I was actually thinking about getting it :p.

I only recently done ombré hair myself and I personally love it! It's a lot of work trying to get it right at first but once you do all you've to do is maintain it and don't use too much heat. One thing I don't like is it dries your ends out terribly so you might wanna deep condition every so often :).
