Is almond oil good for lash growth?

It can be! Almond oil has natural properties that stimulate hair follicles and even if they don't grow (it also depends on the person), they keep the lashes healthier. I would be super careful and not get any under your eyelid though, just in case. Almond oil is also safe because it doesn't clog pores; thus making it safe for the most sensitive of skin. just make sure the oil is pure, unrefined, and free of additives! :) If you don't need things like Latisse I'd suggest avoiding it because its totally chemically based and has side effects. Just because a Dr. can prescribe it doesn't mean its good for you. The long term effects of Lattisse are unknown. I hoped this helped and please be careful :)

The only thing to make your lashes grow is Latisse. all oils, Vaseline, etc.don't make them grow. they only give the illusion.

Vaseline is a sealant I agree keep that away from your eyes! Jacqlyn that's really amusing because I was just at the eye Dr. for a dust allergy and dry skin around my eyes and he told me to put a bit of almond or coconut oil on my lid and lashline to heal it. And my aunt and uncle (also doctors) have prescribed coconut oil for multiple eye related issues. Hmm. I also just looked it up and there isn't much imperical, peer reviewed work to support either of our cases hahaha!! Science needs more time to answer this question I suppose. Good luck Evelyn, I stand by what I said! Its probably best you consult a professional :)

I've used almond oil to take off makeup all my life and I've never had a problem, except once! Here's the thing, I put it on directly to all my lashes and let it for the night and I waked with three follicles clogged on my lashline and feel my eyes a little irritated. This is the wrong way. If you take off makeup with it and a cotton pad, there will left enough to moisturize the lashes and do it's job; but not enough to obstruct the follicle and go into the eye. You don't need to put it right on. The moisturizing feeling it left after taking off makeup is enough.

And your lashes will grow only if they had the vitamins and proteins they need to grow from inside. But I've found it helps because this keeps them moisturized and less likely to fall out. I recomended only if you use it right 😘

Last thing! 😝 Make sure it's pure almond oil! Many many said almond oil but it also have other oils like mineral oil to make it cheaper. And trust me, you don't want those things near your eyes. Even if it's a little expensive get a natural unrefined one.

Organic oils like organic almond, olive and grapeseed oil are all great for overall moisturizers (esp body, right after showering). But for your face, many people can have sensitivities. I have sensitive skin and usu use Earth Science's *Unscented* Almond-Aloe moisturizer. I have never had any irritation or problems with it. Just apply a thin layer after washing your face. (You can gently dab it *around* your eyes, but don't get it into your eyes or lashline.)
