Is there a technique? And don't say bases and primer! I use both!

Maybe a damp brush, but I find that method more difficult to blend.

I do the NYX eye pencil in Milk beneath the shadow trick. Really makes a difference.

I have a post explainging about primer, but it mainly says that it is use to enrich the color value of the shadows, make them last longer, and prevent creasing... As for what your asking, hmm... I'm unsure. I would ask either Alma, or my makeup mommy, Mrs. Jackie... They know pretty much everything there is to know about makeup, I am sure they can provide you with an answer...

I actually discovered a way to do it. It'll turn your eyeshadow into a pigmented cream eyeshadow, its on my profile.

I usually spray Mac's fix plus on It but wetting the brush will do the same thing :)

I always pat on my shadow to get concentrated color and to bring or the finish, and only use a brush to blend out the edges. You can use your finger or a flat, dense eyeshadow brush. I also spray the flat brush with MAC charged water or e.l.f makeup mist, which helps on some eyeshadow textures, like the more-shimmer-than-pigment shades in the smashbox full exposure palette.
