Sooo I've seen a few posts lately asking what to do for dark knees/elbows, and everyone was saying to exfoliate. But my knees are red, not dark. Would exfoliating still help? Or is there anything else that will help? Thanks in advance :)

It wouldn't hurt!

No rosacea or anything like that, I just have very pale legs (sadly) so my knees stand out as looking red compared to the rest of my pale skin.

I don't think it would really help much. I know how you feel though. I'm pale in the winter so my knees and elbows are red and then sometimes I have this purple color to my skin >_<
It sucks.
Applying lotion I find helps and aloe Vera would probably help too. Megan I feel is right ^_^

Have you tried a redness relief cream?

Try exfoliating. I love mixing 1/3 of coconut oil (soften it, don't melt, in microwave) with 2/3 cups of sugar. Also I sometimes use Sea Breeze (blue, sensitive) for dark armpits, so you might try it for your knees/elbows

I'm with Traci on the redness relief cream. Exfoliating removes dead skin (hence the darkening of the suspected area). Though exfoliating is great overall for your skin in your case trying to do to eradicate red skin its not going to resolve it regardless of what you use.
