I live in a tropical country in South East Asia where the temperature is almost always 28°C (82.4°F). From mid-to-late March, I'll be traveling to Washington for the time ever (Yay!) where the average temperature is, at the highest, 12°C (53.6°F).
I'm used to warm weather and the places I've traveled to so far, has similar weather so everything from makeup to skincare is adjusted to the humid weather. So with the sudden change in weather, what will I expect?
The weather, I've read, is dry and dehydrating (and possibly snowing which I've never experienced) and vastly different from our constant heat and rain.
What changes will occur to my skin and what products (cheap or dupes would be great) do you recommend for me to bring during the cold weather?
I have a normal skin type, and fair-medium skin tone. My cleanser is Nivea Visage Refreshing Cleansing Foam and my moisturizer is Clean & Clear Essentials Moisturizer.
Any tips and help? Thank you! :)
P.S I will probably create another topic for makeup and clothes recommendations just in case, because that's whole story. Haha

Lip balm because your lips will probably get chapped and maybe Vaseline just in case you get wind burn and sweaters coats and long pants and socks and shoes that will cover your feet as for makeup you don't really need to change anything and your skin care seems good

Aha you won't suddenly get crazy noticeable changes in your skin, just keep up your regular routine and bring along a good facial moisturizer and body lotion, hand cream etc. to keep your skin hydrated and balanced. Like Brianna said, Vaseline is prob a good idea too.

Bash, I'm from Southeast Asia so I know what you're talking about. When I moved to US, w/c is my home now, my skincare is a li'l different. I added lots and lots of moisturizers, lip balms and sunscreens. Although I'm a big fan of whitening products, w/c most Asian do, I hardly use any. Maybe for some spots on my skin. It's more on brightening actually. Keep using your products. Maybe add some lip balms with spf and loads of sunscreen. It doeant mean the the weather gets colder you don't use sunscreen anymore. It's totally wrong. And another tip, you can use your day cream on nights. It doesn't have to be day to use your day cream. It's just about marketing. I use it when I run out of night cream. Oh and always wash your face before going to bed.

Washington DC or the state? I live in Washington and am from California but didn't really have to change my skincare. I don't need primer as much as I did in Cali but that's about it

I live in Canada so we get extreme cold temperatures and extreme hot temperatures. For me, in the winter I always get really itchy dry skin on my legs, even though I moisturize a million times nothing seems to help lol. This year we've had a really bad winter and this is the first time I've ever gotten Eczema on my arms. I went to Cuba In december and my eczema literally disappeared. The day I got back to Canada the eczema came back. I wish I knew the solution.
