I think you're supposed to apply it in a 3 motion on each side of your face. if that makes sense.

What do you mean by contour powder? What are you using to contour? To answer your question, you can lightly bronze all over after foundation if you just want that tan bronzey look but you don't have to. What purpose do you want the bronzer to serve?

You use bronzer on the places where the sun would naturally hit your face to make that bronzey sun kissed look
And you use a contour powder to create a shadow that's why it has a greyer based tone to it
And the bronzer has an orangier one

That's why people are not supposed to use a bronzer as a contour because its so orangey.

^ What Lindsay said. Bronzer is basically a fake tan for your face. You put it below blush, on your cheeks. You can also put it on your brow bone, temples, nose, etc. (high points where the sun would hit your face). Here's a tutorial on how to apply bronzer. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dk9KWFdykEU&feature=youtube_gdata_player.

Moni why would it be put it in the hollows of your cheeks? Wouldnt anything hollow even a log be a shadow on the inside? Like the hollow of a log would have a shadow or be dark and wouldnt it be imposible for the light to hit the inside since the sun would be directly above, im not trying to be rude its just interesting how u mentioned the hollows of the cheeks

From my understanding, you don't want bronzer in the hollow. But I'm still confused on the order of operation! Haha.

Jocelyn I'm not a pro but what jackie says is always correct, if you want a correct answer on anything and not answeres based of you tube "gurus" I would go to her shes been in the buisness for many years as well as alma and they are experts and know all this from head to toe, I would just go with what she said on the placment of the bronzer and if u put 2 and 2 together it makes sence, when u get tanes where do u get tanned? If ur under the sun where would it hit the face? Exactly where jacke said, u woulnt put bronzer on ir arm pit right? Why cuz light doesnt hit there then why would someone put bronzer where light doesnt hit

Yup, jackie is correct like always! (;
you wouldn't put bronzer on the hollows of Your cheek. thats where you would contour to give the illusion of a shadow.

@Lili R. I fixed it. Also the woman in the video I linked isn't a "YouTube guru", she's a professional makeup artist, who happens to have a YouTube channel. You might have heard of her and her sister (Sam & Nic Chapman) they're the creators of the real techniques brushes. :)
