Every time I make myself pretty nails the polish just peels right off a day after I put it on! I think It is because of all the dishes I wash at work (work at a pre-school). Is there a technique or a product that will keep my polish on even with lots of contact with water.

Last time I tried:
Wiping nails with alcohol to remove oils
Added base coat on nails and ends of nails and let dry completely.
Put on my normal polish
Added top coat on nails and ends of nails and let dry completely.

Still slid off after water contact (polish just comes off completely in one piece).

Try a different top coat and base coat. If the brand is really cheap it might affect the sliding of nails. Also if you use a hair dryer on cool and low that will dry your nails faster so it won't slide when drying.

My top and base coat weren't cheap though?

I use NAILS INC Kensington Caviar Base Coat and Essie good to go top coat. Should I try getting a top coat that isn't fast drying?

Also wear gloves while doing dishes or anything that will have your hands in water for awhile.

I would just opt for a gel polish. Lasts 2 weeks!

Nicole I would try another base coat, I have tried a lot and I also have tried the ones that just peel off, and they can be both cheap and expensive, it's all about what works for your nails!
Also use a buffer on them before you put on your base coat :)

I have had that problem as well, what worked for me was applying vinegar to my nails before my top coat. I know it sounds weird lol. I also use orly rubber bond base coat and cmd out the door top coat. Maybe also try buffing if you have ridges and using a ridge filling base coat?

It shouldn't be doing that, the Nails Inc base coat is really good! Have you tried using the Nails Inc Kensington caviar topcoat too? I use that alongside the basecoat and my nail varnish stays on for ages, it goes through swimming, gymnastics training, gymnastics coaching, washing dishes, cleaning my room. These are my nails after a week of doing the above.

Try gelous base/top coat.

It's the water. I've tried everything. When working in the salon gel nails wouldn't even stay because of the constant water.

Wear rubber gloves religously.

I agree, it is the water. Your best hope is rubber gloves.
